THE PANEL

Lynsey is an Engineer with extensive experience in both fire regulatory safety, building regulations consultations and fire engineering. She has represented the fire service on numerous technical committees and steering groups. She is the joint lead for the LFB Fire Engineering Group and Building Design Consultation hub and is a technical subject matter expert liaising with many internal teams to provide advice and guidance.

Lynsey is a Chartered Engineer with degrees in Mechanical and Fire Engineering. She is a Fellow of the Institution of Fire Engineers and Vice Chair of their Ethics Committee. She is a STEM ambassador promoting engineering careers to young people (focus on under-represented groups) and a Member of the Women’s Engineering Society. She was also the project lead for a children’s book ‘My mummy is a firefighter’. She has won a number of awards including the Queens Fire Service Medal for distinguished service.
